It happens, we get it.
Here are the steps to replacing your lost, stolen, or non-functional UCSD student ID card.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR ID CARD?

MY ID CARD IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY

Students must surrender their damaged/invalid ID card in order to receive a replacement ID card. The cost to replace a damaged ID card is $10.00 if you surrender the card.

I LOST MY ID CARD

Contact the Campus Card Office by phone (858) 534-6606,  e-mail , or by visiting the office ( map ) to see if the card was turned in. Please note that if mailed, it may take 1 week to arrive at our office. The Campus Cards Office will also contact you via your UCSD email if your ID card is turned in at our office.

  • If your ID card is not found, you can purchase a replacement for $21.00.
  • See our notes below about suspending your account to prevent fraudulent use of your funds.

MY ID CARD WAS STOLEN

File a campus police report and get a copy of the report or the case number.

  • If you present the Campus Cards office with a valid police report, you will receive a replacement ID card at no cost.

BEFORE YOU VISIT

Helpful tips to make this a one-stop kind of trip.

  • You can always take a new picture free of charge when receiving a new or replacement ID card.
  • Any charges for cards will be placed on your student account.
    • We do NOT accept credit cards or cash at our office.
  • Check out our FAQ page to answer any other questions.

AFTER YOU RECEIVE YOUR NEW CARD

Your new card does not come with pre-existing security access.
