Triton Registration Installment Plan
What is TRIP?
The Triton Registration Installment Plan (TRIP) allows eligible students to pay mandatory tuition and registration fees in three monthly installments (Fall/Winter/Spring) instead of one large payment at the start of the quarter. Summer Session TRIP is 2-3 monthly installments, depending on which session you are attending.
Why Enroll Early (for Fall/Winter/Spring only)?
We offer two enrollment fee options each quarter:
- Early Enrollment Fee – $40
Enroll by the first billing due date of the quarter. - Enrollment Fee – $65
Applies if you enroll after the first billing due date of the quarter.
Enrolling early not only saves you money but also helps you avoid last-minute payment stress and gives you more time to budget for your monthly installments.
- The enrollment fee is non-refundable and due at the time you sign up for TRIP.
- TRIP is available for Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer quarters.
- TRIP does not cover housing fees or other non-qualified charges. See “Covered & Not Covered Fees” below. Information related to housing installments and payments can be found on the Housing Rates and Services page.
- Students who receive grants and/or scholarships that cover their entire tuition/registration fees are NOT eligible to enroll in TRIP (such as Cal Grant recipients, Jacobs scholars, and certain CASP and Regents scholars, etc.)
- TRIP enrollment should be done after all classes have been finalized. Adding/Dropping classes after enrolling in TRIP can cause volatility in the TRIP installment amounts.
- You must be enrolled in classes, have no financial holds, and pay any past due balance to use TRIP to make payments.
- For students who enroll in TRIP after the first billing due date, both the $65 enrollment fee and your first installment will be due immediately.
